Literature Text

One day, one strange and ordinary day, you will wake up. You will wake up and nothing, absolutely nothing, will be different. You will realize that this has been going on for every day that you can remember waking up to, for the past week, the past month, the past year. You will be utterly and completely mind blown by this sudden and useless revelation. It will suddenly drive you mad that the sun rises on time, and the traffic lights always change from red to green to yellow to red, and the birds sing, and time passes, and nothing, absolutely nothing, has actually changed about any of those things for as long as you can remember. The sun has always risen on a schedule. The lights have always been changing. The birds have always made music. Time has always passed. You will wake up on this strange and ordinary day with this useless revelation and a gaping hole in your sanity, and you will take a deep breath. This breath will be long and weary and deliberate. And once this breath is over, you will climb out of bed, put on your clothes, eat your breakfast, and walk out the door. You will live, exactly the same and far more than ever before. You will live.
